The Wedding Countdown

Hi all,

Can’t wait to see you all this weekend, here’s a bit more info for the weekend if you have any questions, just get in touch.

Friday

We’re arriving early and setting up, we can check into the cottages from 2pm.

There’s a pub a short walk from the cottages (about half a mile) or a short drive for the very lazy t-total people. We’ll probably grab some food and drinks there on Friday evening.

The Wharf Inn, Shebdon, ST20 0PY Stafford,
01785 280541

Saturday

The church is located on the B5026 between Loggerheads (2.5 miles) and Eccleshall (5.5 miles). The nearest postcode is ST21 6NR and takes you Broughton Hall, you’ll see the church just passed this on the opposite side of the road.

Parking is limited so if you would like to travel to the venue first and car share that would help, but not a problem if you’re heading straight there.

Confetti is permitted at the church.

There is no loo at the church, if you do get caught short, the nearest loo will be in The Loggerheads Pub and this is perhaps the best place for a pre-wedding drink (if required Mini?)

The Loggerheads
Eccleshall Road
Loggerheads
Market Drayton

There is no pay bar at the venue, so please feel free to BYOB. The nearest supermarkets are in Newport and Eccleshall (Newport is probably easiest). From a quick Google here are a few suggestions, but there must be many more:
Asda Donnington Wood, St Georges Road, Telford, TF2 7RX
Waitrose, Audley Rd, Newport, TF10 7DS

Sunday

We’re having a hog roast and cider session in the afternoon. We’ll be getting a few boxes in but it’d be great if you could bring something along to the mix so we can have a real variety.

Also if you have any garden games you’d be happy to bring that would be great.

Sunday night we’re having our circus theme fancy dress, we’re impressed with the effort you’re all putting in and can’t wait to see you in all your cozza glory.

Wedding Gift List

We’re starting to get everything together for the big day (by which we mean
that Sophie is plotting, planning, pasting and glittering while Paul cheers
enthusiastically from the stands), which we’re very sure will be the greatest day
of our lives – and there’s a lot of competition.

It goes without saying that your presence is present enough – having you at our
wedding will make the whole day so much sweeter. If you have a gift in mind, it
will be gratefully received. But if you’re stuck for ideas and you’ve been to our
house (and seen all of our Sophie’s stuff), you may be wondering what
you should buy us. The good news is we have a very simple solution.

Rather than sitting around counting our crystal and cutlery, we have decided to
start our married lives much as we hope to continue – on a whirlwind adventure.
For our honeymoon we hope to spend a month in Central America, finishing off
in the Big Apple.

While we would love to bring you all with us, Paul’s backpack is far too small and
Sophie’s far too full, so the best wedding gift that you could give us (if you really
wanted to give us a gift) would be to contribute to our next big adventure. We'll be combining all contributions to enjoy some of the activities below.

You can buy us dinner in Mexico, a trek in Costa Rica or a horse and cart through
Central Park by picking an item(s) from the list below and paying through
PayPal, or feel free to bring a gift to the wedding. In return we promise to take loads of photos so you feel like you were there.

So looking forward to seeing you at the wedding!
